Welcome to the Cobtree Scottish Dancing Group Website.
Scottish Country Dancing is fun and combines both physical and mental exercise. You don’t need a partner, special clothing or equipment to get started, just soft shoes.
We meet on Wednesday evening from 7.45 until 10 pm throughout the year at Grove Green Community Hall.
Dances in 2024
We had a successful dance on Saturday 17th February in the afternoon
and on
Saturday 22nd June we will be dancing to music provided by Strathallen.
This dance will be in the evening.

Our Programme
Our weekly programme of dances is devised by our team of m/cs.
We try to make the evening interesting with dances ranging from old favourites to some new or less familiar dances.
We would welcome suggestions for dances to include in our programmes to give them more pizzazz or just because you like the dance.

Weekly Subs
The weekly subscription is £3 (2023-24)
Members and Guests who attend regularly are asked to pay by Bank Transfer or Cheque.
The amount they owe will notified by invoice at the end of each quarter.
Arrangements can be made for those who wish to pay more regularly or in cash.
Visitors will continue to pay in cash on the night.
If it is your first visit or you are unable to dance the evening is free.
Annual Membership 2023-24
The Annual Membership subscription should be paid by the end of December 2023.
The rate for 2023-24 year is £3.

The floor at Grove Green was sometimes slippery. Some ideas about what you can do are here. Wet towels are provided to let you damp your shoes if you wish.
